Electronic / Industrial Dance legends Lords of Acid stormed into Preserving Underground with their Cheeky Freaky Tour 2026 and delivered a performance that was aggressive, entertaining, exciting, and unapologetically raunchy from beginning to end. The packed Pittsburgh crowd was thrown headfirst into a night fueled by pounding beats, glam soaked chaos, club culture energy, and pure attitude.

Support on the Cheeky Freaky Tour 2026 comes from Dead on a Sunday, Princess Superstar, Tony and the Kiki, and MZ NEON, each adding their own flavor to the night.

Founded and led by keyboardist and creative mastermind Praga Khan, the current lineup feels both faithful to the band’s legacy and fully focused on pushing forward into a new era. Frontwoman Carla Harvey dominates the stage as the current Acid Queen with confidence, intensity, and charisma. Backed by Galen Waling on drums, DieTrich Thrall on bass, and touring guitarist Jack Tankersley, the band moved like a machine built for sensory overload.

Opening with the classic “Scrood Bi U”, the band wasted no time setting the tone. Harvey, radiates a captivating aura, paired with a fierce vocal performance that never lost its intensity throughout the set. Whether snarling through the heavier moments or effortlessly hitting the high parts, she never lost her ear to ear grin for a second. Her scream during fan favorites landed with explosive intensity, but what stood out most was how much fun she was clearly having on stage. That infectious energy spread through the entire room.

The set balanced iconic material with a glimpse into the future of the band. Crowd favorites like “Pussy” {where they invited female fans to join them onstage} and “The Crablouse” blended seamlessly alongside new tracks from the upcoming album. Speaking of new material, fans were treated to the live debut of “El Mundo Esta Loco” featuring an appearance from Tony {minus the Kiki, this time} as well as “Karaoke Superstar” with Princess Superstar taking over vocals. The fresh tracks fit naturally into the set and carried the same confrontational spirit that has defined the band for decades.

Every member brought their own personality into the performance. Waling’s drumming drove the set with relentless force while Tankersley added extra edge and movement across the stage. Thrall was impossible to ignore, towering over the crowd like some hulking demon crow entity while completely commanding attention every second he was on stage. Together, the band created a performance built on pushing boundaries, dynamics, and presence without ever distancing themselves from the roots that made Lords of Acid iconic in the first place.

The night reached another level during “Drink My Honey” when Harvey rode atop security’s shoulders through the nearly sold out venue. The fun continued before “Rubber Doll” as inflatable dolls were tossed into the audience and volleyed around the room. When the encore performance of “I Sit On Acid” hit, the crowd transformed into full dance floor chaos.
The track landed with maximum impact, closing the set on a high point of pure recognition and energy, and reinforcing just how deeply the band’s legacy still resonates live.

The Cheeky Freaky Tour feels less like a nostalgia run and more like a reinvention. Lords of Acid proved in Pittsburgh that they are still fearless, provocative, and fully capable of delivering a live experience that confronts, seduces, and surprises all at once.
