Wicked brought their high energy rock and roll style to a packed venue in Pittsburgh. The band fired off a set packed with loud guitars, infectious enthusiasm, and a clear love for classic showmanship. Built around vocalist/guitarist Chad Michael, his brother bassist Danny Martin, lead guitarist Scotty V, and drummer Gunnar Coston, Wicked continues its mission to bring true rock spirit back to the stage.

Bursting onto the stage, the band launched into “Teen Riot” and wasted no time setting the tone for the night. Focused on creating an atmosphere that felt fun and unapologetically rooted in classic guitar driven rock, the crowd responded instantly. Their sound pulls inspiration from the larger than life spirit of 70s / 80s rock while still carrying a modern edge that keeps everything feeling fresh instead of simply nostalgic.

The setlist balanced heavier melodic moments with straight up party rock spirit. Songs like “Hellraiser,” “Sinner,” and “Reaper Calls” leaned into the band’s harder edge, while tracks such as “Champion” and “Midnight” brought anthemic hooks and a more melodic feel to the set. Throughout the night, big guitar solos, pounding drums, and Chad Michael’s infectious smile and natural charisma added even more personality to the performance.

Fans also got a strong preview of what is ahead with performances of “Obsession” and “Go Rebel” two singles from the upcoming album Go Rebel, scheduled for release this fall. Both songs fit naturally into the band’s style, blending catchy choruses with adrenaline fueled sound. Closing out the night with fan favorite “Reptile Roots” proved to be a strong finish and left the crowd on a high note.

What makes Wicked stand out most is their commitment to entertainment. Their set captured the flashy excitement of glam rock, the raw energy of punk, and the memorable hooks of classic arena rock while keeping the focus on having a good time. In a music scene that can sometimes feel overly serious, Wicked simply wants people to escape everyday life for a few hours and enjoy loud, guitar driven rock and roll.

Overall, Wicked delivered a performance full of energy, personality, and genuine passion for what they do. Between the strong musicianship, crowd interaction, and upbeat atmosphere, the band proved that classic style hard rock still has plenty of life left in it. Their set made for a fitting lead in, setting the tone nicely for Buckcherry later in the night.
