Vixen – The Vine at Del Lago Resort, Waterloo, NY

Vixen played in Waterloo, NY on April 1st opening for Stryper.

The current band consists of drummer and only original member, Roxy Petrucci. She is joined by singer Lorraine Lewis, formerly of Famme Fatale as well as guitarist Britt Lightning and bassist, Julia Lage.

Nobody in the crowd seemed too bothered by the line up change. The ladies can all hold their own on fan favorites like Cryin and Rev It Up. I was a tad surprised to see they chose to do a medley of cover songs given the short setlist they were working with but it worked out well. It was nice to see them paly the Femme Fatale song Waiting For The Big One.

I refuse to believe the 80’s was nearly 40 years ago when watching performers like Petrucci and Lewis on stage. I look forward to catching Vixen again this summer.
