Dead Poet Society – Rapids Theatre, Niagara Falls, NY

Los Angeles based band, Dead Poet Society, made a recent stop to the Rapids Theatre in Niagara Falls, NY while out on tour with Highly Suspect. They performed nine song setlist, mainly songs off their release, -!- (the Exclamation album). Release in 2021, many view this as their debut release however the band does have previous albums, an EP Weapons {2013}, Axiom {2015} and the EP Dempsey {2016}.

Dead Poet Society was formed in 2013 and includes Jack Underkofler {vocals/guitar}, Jack Collins {guitar}, Will Goodroad {drums} and Dylan Brenner {bass}. The band has a history of melodic catchy lyrics and crunchy guitar riffs yet a unique way of putting it all together to make you unable to turn away. Their live performance has a slight 90s gritty-punk-grunge feel to it. They are definitely high energy and entertaining without relying on anything other than themselves to keep the crowd’s attention.

In my opinion DPS have a great future ahead of them, not that the current is too shabby.
