The Acid Queen Rises: Lords of Acid at The Globe Iron, Cleveland, Ohio

Lords Of Acid – Globe Iron, Cleveland, Ohio

On a perfect Tuesday night, one of Cleveland’s newest venue, The Globe Iron, transformed into a temple of raw sensuality and industrial chaos as the Praise the Lords Tour stormed into town. Headlined by the legendary Lords of Acid, the night was a full-throttle descent into provocative performance art, sex-positive anthems, and dancefloor destruction.

Kicking things off was Lucia Cifarelli, best known for her powerhouse work with KMFDM. Recently added to the tour, Cifarelli delivered a solo set oozing with industrial attitude and raw intimacy. Her performance felt like a direct transmission from the underground—gritty, unapologetic, and commanding.

From there, things only got steamier. Enter Little Miss Nasty, the dark-art erotic burlesque troupe that didn’t just warm up the crowd—they ignited it. Their high-octane performance blended fierce pole routines, live body painting, and synchronized choreography, striking a perfect balance between seduction and empowerment. It was dark, it was loud, and it was absolutely unforgettable.

By the time Lords of Acid took the stage, the room was already a powder keg. Leading the charge was the newly crowned Acid Queen, Carla Harvey, best known as co-vocalist of metal outfit Butcher Babies—and now, the new high priestess of sleaze. A lifelong fan of the band, Harvey’s transition into the Lords lineup isn’t just seamless—it feels fated. Her energy was explosive, her vocals ferocious, and her stage presence drenched in the wild spirit of the ‘90s rave-punk era.

And she wasn’t alone. Praga Khan, the band’s founding synth sorcerer, manned his rig from the shadows, weaving psychedelic chaos beneath it all. With Galen Waling pounding the drums, DieTrich Thrall holding down the bass, and Creighton Emrick on guitar, this version of Lords of Acid was a lean, loud, and mercilessly tight machine.

The setlist was a carefully curated journey through fan favorites and filthy classics, with Harvey reportedly helping to handpick the songs. Highlights included “Worship the Lords,” during which Little Miss Nasty returned waving a double-sided sign that read Praise the Lords on one side and Fuck the Rest on the other—perfectly summing up the mood of the night.

In true Lords fashion, Harvey paused to launch a sex doll into the crowd, which promptly became a crowd-surfing mascot of pure, inflatable absurdity. During the raunchy anthem “Pussy,” the band invited women from the audience to storm the stage. The resulting moment was part party, part ritual, all liberation.

The crowd—many decked out in fetish wear, leather, and latex—fed off every moment. There was no line between performer and fan; just a pulsing, sweating, screaming mass unified by music and mischief.

This wasn’t just a concert. It was a celebration of freedom, freakdom, and filth. With Harvey now front and center, Lords of Acid doesn’t just feel revived—it feels reborn. For longtime followers and newcomers alike, this show was a glorious reminder of why the Lords still reign supreme: they bring the noise, the naughtiness, and the night you’ll still feel in your bones three days later.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the band would return to the studio to record a new album featuring Carla Harvey on vocals as well.
