Chaoseum – Life 4 Sale

REVIEW: Life 4 Sale Is Here from Chaoseum

Chaoseum – Life 4 Sale – September 19, 2025

Swiss metal force Chaoseum return with their sixth full-length release Life 4 Sale and once again they prove that they are not here to follow trends but to blaze their own path. Released on September 19 the ten-track album showcases a band in full command of their sound a dark theatrical blend of nu metal grit and metalcore precision elevated by emotional intensity and razor sharp production.

Chaoseum have been steadily climbing the ranks of the international metal scene since forming in 2018 in Lausanne. The band is composed of CK Smile on vocals, Valery Veings and Kevin Sink on guitars, Greg Turini on drums, and Finn Broker on bass. With previous releases like The Third Eye in 2022 and Second Life in 2020 they laid the foundation but Life 4 Sale feels like a statement piece. This is a band unafraid to be vulnerable unafraid to be heavy and absolutely unafraid to evolve.

From the opening title track ‘Life 4 Sale‘ the tone is set aggressive introspective and deeply personal. Vocalist CK Smile delivers a haunting performance tapping into his past with raw honesty. Tracks like ‘Price Of Reality‘ and ‘The Failure’ dive into themes of mental health trauma and abandonment making this Chaoseum’s most emotionally charged release to date. Smiles’ lyrics are cathartic and his delivery switching between anguished screams and melodic hooks creates an urgent tension that never lets up.

‘Freakin Head’ in particular stands out as a centerpiece driven by punishing grooves and a confessional lyrical tone. It is not just heavy for the sake of being heavy it is heavy with purpose.

Throughout the album, Chaoseum delivers a towering heaviness that seamlessly blends with beautiful symphonic elements creating a powerful introduction to the many epic moments that await listeners. This record reveals a matured creative depth and control the band has nurtured in this latest offering. Staying true to the relentless grinding guitar riffs that have always earned them praise Chaoseum leverages these strengths effectively showing quickly why they are becoming a favorite among metalcore fans.

Guitarists Veings and newcomer Sink who joined in early 2024 bring crushing rhythm work and searing leads while Broker on bass and Turini on drums provide a rock solid often thunderous foundation. Songs like ‘2 Minutes Only’ and ‘Stay Away’ embrace a more chaotic almost industrial edge while ‘Ain’t Human‘ cleverly incorporates modern anxieties into its futuristic soundscape a timely addition in an age of increasing technological distrust.

Meanwhile the orchestral version of ‘Smile Again‘ closes the album on a somber cinematic note revealing the bands versatility and willingness to push their creative limits beyond the confines of metalcore.

Chaoseum

Chaoseum’s dark aesthetic is more than just a look it is part of the experience. The accompanying video for ‘Life 4 Sale‘ visually reinforces the themes of identity commodification and inner turmoil. With gritty visuals and intense performance cuts the band cements their place as one of the most visually distinct acts in modern metal.

Life 4 Sale is more than just another metal album it is a mirror into the chaos of the self. With powerful songwriting a refined sonic identity and a fearless lyrical approach Chaoseum have delivered their strongest album to date. It is a bold emotional and unrelenting record that deserves to be played loud and often.

If this is the sound of a band mid ascent the top is going to be something truly special.
