About

..we learned more from a three minute record, baby, than we ever learned in school..”

-Bruce Springsteen

Face In The Crowd is a non-profit, independently run music publication built on a lifelong passion for live music and concert photography. With more than 35 years of experience behind the lens and in the pit, our team has grown from documenting shows in small local venues to covering major arena tours across New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada, and beyond.

Our mission is simple: to celebrate the music that moves us; whether it’s an emerging local act or a world renowned headliner – with the same attention to detail, respect, and enthusiasm. We believe that every band was once local, and every photographer and writer had to start somewhere.

In addition to our website and social platforms, we regularly contribute to other publications, brands, and industry professionals, including band management teams and publicists. Our photography has been featured in a variety of print and online projects over the years, and our dedication to the craft continues to evolve with every show we cover.

At Face In The Crowd, we aim to be more than just observers; we’re part of the story. Whether it’s the sweat on stage lights or the roar of a crowd, we’re here to capture the heart of live music, one frame and one story at a time.
