Finger Eleven Steals the Show in Cleveland with Local H and Filter

Cleveland went wild as Finger Eleven tore through hits old and new. They lit up the House of Blues, sandwiched between Local H and Filter on the tour finale. The crowd was nonstop energy, singing, cheering, and feeding off the band’s unstoppable stage presence.

Sandwiched between Local H and Filter on the final night of the tour, Finger Eleven delivered a set that did far more than hold the middle slot at House of Blues Cleveland. They are one of those bands many people may not immediately recognize by name, but the moment the songs start, there is instant familiarity across the room. They walked onstage and took control without hesitation.
They tore straight into “Above” from their 1997 debut, snapping the crowd back into the late nineties before pushing forward with “Adrenaline,” a newer track off latest release Last Night on Earth. “Quicksand” pulled everyone into a familiar groove of nostalgia. All the while, there was a palpable hope in the crowd for a performance of “Blue Sky Mystery,” the track featuring Filter. Sadly, that collaboration did not happen, despite being the last night of the tour, but the excitement lingered.

When “Slow Chemical,” began, the entire venue shifted as voices rose together and filled the room. That moment alone would have defined most sets. However, “The Mountain” hit with weight, and “Together Right” showed a depth that does not always get the recognition it deserves.
Just when it felt like the peak had been reached, the band eased into an unexpected jam of Genesis’ “That’s All,” before launching into “Paralyzer” with riffs from AC/DC’s “Back in Black” woven in so naturally it felt intentional from the start. The reaction was immediate and overwhelming as the entire room erupted.
Frontman Scott Anderson carried the vocals with control and ease, grounding the performance while everything around him moved at full intensity. At the same time, guitarist Rick Jackett was relentless, spinning, jumping, and pulling every possible sound from his guitar. Watching him, it felt less like a band deep into their career and more like youthful energy, suggesting they’re still fueled by a passion.

That contrast worked perfectly. Anderson remained steady and composed, which made the chaos around him feel even more alive. Behind them, drummer Steve Molella and bassist Sean Anderson kept everything locked in. Guitarist James Black added to the layered, driving sound that filled the space without feeling overproduced or forced. Black, with a mad scientist-esque vibe and Jackett, a madman under constant attack by his guitar, are the perfect bookends.
What stood out most was the chemistry. They fed off each other constantly, moving with a restless energy that never dropped. Every riff felt deliberate, every movement added to the moment. It did not feel rehearsed in a rigid way, it felt lived in.

By the end of their set, they had not just warmed up the room, they had completely transformed it. The crowd was fully engaged, loud, and energized in a way that carried forward into the rest of the night.
Even with a strong hometown performance from Filter, the lasting impression belonged to Finger Eleven. They proved that they are not simply a band people remember, but one that still commands attention the second they step onstage.
