Great White – Batavia, NY
Great White stepped up and filled in at the last minute when Skid Row had to cancel their scheduled performance at the Rockin’ the Downs summer concert series in Batavia, NY last Thursday. It was a tight squeeze but the band made it work, to keep the crowd that was looking forward to a night out happy.
Great White was a great choice to fill the empty spot left at the last minute. The fanbase is similar so it was an easy decision. It was also a great opportunity for Great White to showcase their newest singer, Brett Carlisle. They seemed to have a revolving door when it came to finding the right set of pipes to take the lead and personally I think they finally nailed it in Carlisle. He seemed comfortable and flawlessly handled the massive catalog Great White has under their belt. No-one can compare to Jack Russell, however I did not feel like I was watching a cover band perform when they played classics like “Save All Your Love” or “Lady Red Light”.
Great White is Mark Kendall {guitar}, Audie Desbrow {drums}, Michael Lardie {keyboard/guitar}, Scott Snyder {bass} and as previously mentioned, Brett Carlisle {vocals}.
I look forward to them recording/releasing new material now that they seem complete.
